Perfect Binding
Digital perfect binding is ideal for self-publishers and larger publishers who need to do print Advance Reading Copies (ARC) in numbers ranging from 10 to 500 quantity. Higher numbers are also possible of course. Some people use the term Print on Demand or Publish on Demand. Combined with our advanced digital printing capabilities, both black and white, and colour, this allows us to keep all aspects of printing softback books in-house. We also buy paper specifically for this products line, including natural texts (off-white beige) or our silk coated 100lb text (ideal for colour) which are well suited for our perfect bindery.
The Duplo DPB-500 is semi-automated, featuring hinge scoring and side gluing built into the automated cover feeder, making for a stronger book, with less risk of breaking at the spine.
We now have a price calculator for your convenience. Our pricing is based on a base charge of $60 which includes a colour cover. Each small size page (5.5×8.5) inches) is 2 to 2.5 cents for b/w and 10 to 10.5 cents for colour printing. Large pages (8.5×11 inches) are 4 to 5 cents each for b/w and 20 to 21 cents each for colour, plus 50 cents each book for gluing, any size. We also offer discounts at breaks of 50, 100, 150, and 250 units. Quantities over 500 should use our custom estimating form for pricing. Applicable taxes are not included in any estimates.
